The flagship Urgent Run event in Singapore on Sunday was a fun event to draw attention to the sanitation crisis. With around 350 participants, and more than 40 volunteers ensuring the day was a success, the run featured Guest of Honour Minister Lim Swee Say and World Toilet Organization founder Jack Sim, toilet-themed games, a giant blow-up toilet, toilet-roll shaped medals, and before the run, runners did a big squat to show their solidarity with the one billion people in the world who still have to defecate in the open. Channel NewsAsia Singapore was there to cover the event. 20 Urgent Run events are taking place in 13 countries in the lead up to UN World Toilet Day on 19 November. #UrgentRun #Singapore #WorldToiletDay #OpenDefecation
