The following four #seasons are identified by the #Bangladesh #Meteorological Department (#BMD, 2012): 1. #Winter or Northeast Monsoon: This season comprises the months of December, January and February; mean temperature is 18-21°C and average rainfall is about 1.5% of the total annual rainfall. 2. #Summer or Pre-Monsoon: This season consists the months of March, April and May; average rain fall is 17% and mean temperature is 23-30°C and contributes ~17% to the total annual rainfall. 3. Southwest Monsoon or #Monsoon: This season consists the months of June, July, August and September; average rainfall of this season is about 72.5% of the total annual rainfall. 4. #Autumn or Post-Monsoon: This season consists the months of October and November; average rainfall receives in this season is about 9% of the annual total.
