The food that endures for eternal life , is what will give the Son of Man The Jewish Passover, ate standing with sandals on and batons in hand, in a hurry ( Exodus 12:11) . What stronger reason can stay awake ! They were getting ready to leave for the Promised Land and behaved as travelers , and you, you re on your way to heaven. That is why we must always be on guard ... The enemies of Christ have beaten his most holy body without knowing what they do (Luke 23:34) , and you,you receive your impure soul after so generously ! Because he was not content to become man , to be scourged and put to death : in his love , even more wanted to join us, sympathize with us not only through faith, but really for the participation of their own body ... Consider the great honor that you receive , and which table you are being invited . He whom the angels tremble while they look , the one who do not dare to look without fear, because of the brightness of the glory that radiates your face, we become our own food and join in communion with Him, a single body, one flesh . Who will speak of the deeds of the Lord , who shall declare all his praise? ( Psalm 105.2 ) . What shepherd never has fed his sheep with his own flesh ? ... It often happens that mothers trust their children to wet nurses . Christ is not so : He feeds us with His own blood, He converts us into one body .
