The funeral for Jeff Mario Smith will be Saturday, January 10th at 2:00pm EST at the Clays Mill Baptist Church in Lexington. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Clays Mill baptist Church in Marios honor. Task Force Omega of KY will leave the BP/Days Inn parking lot in Mt. Sterling, KY at 12:00 noon to go to the funeral. Everyone is welcome to go with us or meet us there. Cemetery in April ( To be announced later.) Danny Greasy Belcher Obituary for Jeff Mario Smith Jeffery D. Smith, 57, husband of 35 years to Amy Richardson-Smith died December 18, 2014. The youngest of four sons he was born to Gordon Welford and Dorothy Willet Smith in Westerly, RI. His parents and his brother Scott D. Smith preceded him in death. He leaves behind his son, Ryan M. Smith of Lexington, KY, two daughters, Lauren Smith of Nicholasville, KY, and Maddy Rose Smith of Lexington, KY, and two grandchildren, Kyleigh R. Smith and Kohen R. Smith of Nicholasville, KY. He also leaves behind two brothers, Gordon (Carol) Smith of York, PA and Anthony Smith of Westerly, RI. Jeffery’s military service in the Army gave him a strong work ethic and a true appreciation of the men and women who serve our country. He was described as a true American Patriot and was active in many veterans groups and causes. One of his favorite honors was being the emcee at Thomas Hood Veterans Home events. He was also a member of Task Force Omega of Kentucky and the Patriot Guard of KY. Jeff spent the last 21 years of his life building Intermax Computer Associates into the success it is today. His commitment to his clients often led to friendships outside of the business climate. He fully appreciated the expert care afforded him by the medical professionals at Jewish Hospital in Louisville. Because he dearly loved his church in lieu of the customary remembrances, the family requests that any contributions be made to Clays Mill Rd. Baptist Church. 3000 Clays Mill Rd. Lexington, KY 40503. Services will be held on January 10th at 2:00PM at Clays Mill Road Baptist Church. Visitation and celebration of life immediately following at church.
