The future of food is in quality, not quantity. I have been experimenting with myself. My daily work is demanding and i require a rather large amount of food energy to sustain me daily without energy drops and fatigue. I have discovered the energy and vitality in home grown beets. I eat a brunch around 10-10:30 of fresh picked, steamed beet greens and brown rice. The juice from steaming I allow to cool and use as an energy drink in about 2-3 hours. This will sustain me to about 3-4 in the afternoon if it is not blazing hot and then the beet roots become a side with the supper meal. I have been feeling very good on this type of food. I ,of course, drink water through the day as well. I have been knowing in my heart that I can get most of what I need from vegetables, if I can get the quality and immediate consumption after harvest.
