The government is competing with the private sector which it is not supposed to do. The government has no criteria for accountability or fiscal responsibility, as does all private business in America they must meet specific accounting standards, Financial regulations, IRS rules, and union requirements (if unionized). The Federal government on the other hand has NONE of these criterions to perform to because it’s your money and they don’t give a damn, the private contractor however does. For the government to pay twice the salary as the private sector is despicable and outrageous and is the clear problem of an economic disconnect in the country, they have created it.
