The heat of the morning sun soaked into my back while bubble - TopicsExpress

The heat of the morning sun soaked into my back while bubble solution dribbled from my fingers, the cold cement half-wall chilling the left side of my body where I leaned against the top level of the parking garage, trying to wake up. Large, lazy bubbles drifted up to disappear in the long shadow cast across the face of the building above me, and eventually I focused enough to lurch along after them. The world feels surreal, a disconnected landscape of grey and glass, making it difficult not to do the Zombie Shuffle. I feel like I should still be surrounded by trees and grass, the sound of drums and laughter in the distance. I’m trying hard to re-assimilate into Mundania, but I’ve got to say it feels like I ain’t got no brains this morning (proven since I once again forgot my lunch), so my moaned refrain is going to have to be bubbles until I find something better to gnaw on.
