The home base Super Eagles squad will on Thursday July 25 2013 depart the shores of Nigeria for Abidjan to tackle their Ivorian counterparts in a crucial 2nd leg Africa Nations Championship qualifying match officials have revealed. Though currently camped in Abuja, the Eagles are expected to travel via Lagos to the Ivory Coast Capital to keep a date with the Elephants. Currently with a 4-1 advantage, Coach Stephe nKeshi will be taking along 18 players to complete the business started in Kaduna weeks back as Nigeria seeks a maiden appearance at the unique Africa tournament. The home base super Eagles may play one more friendly before they head to Abidjan for their crucial 2nd leg Africa Nations Championships qualifying match against the Elephants of Cote d’ Ivorie. The home base lads only on Friday were engaged in a test match against local side FC Abuja which they managed a slim 1-0 win. Kano Pillars’ Rabiu saved the Eagles their blushes in their last match netting the only goal from the penalty spot. Many believe that another victory for the Coach Stephen Keshi side will go a long way in boosting their confidence as they held to Abidjan with a healthy 4-1 advantage reordered from the first leg.
