The hypocrisy of the Obama administration over Ukraine is staggering and disgusting. Anybody who has taken the time to view videos of soccer hoodlums and their right-wing and neo-Nazi allies attacking police in Jan. and Feb. in Kiev knows that this was way far from being non-violent protest. Yet days after the coup had taken place, Obama had the unmitigated gall to claim the thugs were peaceful protesters. BS! And now yesterday Obama was over in Europe (en route to that bastion of democracy in the Middle East, Saudi Arabia [!]) muttering about the brutal force Russia has employed in annexing Crimea. So far, to my knowledge, one Ukrainian has died. This is not brutal force. This is kid gloves. (An aside, to listen to John McCain, BORN IN THE EFFING PANAMA CANAL ZONE!, whine for a single instant about Russia retaking a piece of land historically Russian for over two centuries, is enough to make me vomit. The parallels between Russia retaking Crimea and Bushs attack on Panama are pretty instructive. Except that we managed to kill over 500 Panamanians in that one. And do we need to mention Shock and Awe and all the numerous other military adventures weve engaged in over the years, often leading to hundreds of thousands of fatalities, even millions. If theres a county that knows and understands brute force, its us, baby! And in an aside on an aside, THANK YOU CONNECTICUT for electing twerpish Chris Murphy to the Senate -- hes been incredibly bellicose on Ukraine. Many will have heard about when old fart McCain spoke from the stage at Euromaidan in Kiev back in December, standing next to neo-Nazi Oleh Tyahnybok from Svoboda. Go back and review pics or video: yup, thats Murphy standing next to McCain (and Tyahnybok). I hate bipartisanship, ESPECIALLY when it comes to foreign policy. It usually means death and misery for countless thousands in some foreign land.)
