The idea behind this was to portray the necessity of stopping every once in a while to observe nature’s beauty around us. This shot was taken in my backyard of yellow and red plants that often goes unnoticed, but zooming in and using the camera’s movement to create a “painterly” effect of colors and textures, and then selectively merging the image with an in-focus image, created the image I envisioned. lightandcomposition/photo-of-the-day-october-13-canvas-of-colors-by-dawid-theron/
