The idea of Governor is not uniquely Kenyan. The title has been in use for centuries. I find it trivial and a show of ignorance when we start to legislate how a governor should be addressed. Since Kenya belong to the commonwealth and thus feeds from the value systems of its traditions, I would rather we go by already set precedence. Moreover, the word is not Kenyan either. The legislation not withstanding, I will continue addressing the Governors as His/Her Excellency. In fact, in Canada it is even much sweeter, Your Excellency Right Honourable Governor XXXXXX;;;;;;; The question is, How will the English teacher break from the tradition and teach the students otherwise.......The energy wasted in the bill should have been used to debate the solution to the looming hunger in Kenya...... gg.ca/document.aspx?id=14611#ggw
