Responsibility and Legitimacy: The electoral process ensures that people who are chosen have the responsibility to support the views of the people they represent and have the legitimacy to represent them. 6 Popular policies: With the electoral process, the electorate have the chance to choose the political party that has the policies that they feel will be of their benefit.
