The invention of Super Tape, manufactured by TrueTape in Texas, was somewhat of a breakthrough for the hair extension industry, allowing stylists to move from attaching extensions with hard hot glue or metal bonds to a simple non damaging long life tape. Before inventing Super Tape, TrueTape had been supplying medical grade tape for diverse industries such as wigs,toupees, lasik eye surgery, medical research and many others. While wig tapes had been around for many years the hold time was usually only a few days. Super Tape allows extended hold times up to 12 weeks if applied and cared for correctly. As a product manufactured in the USA for medical purposes it must also meet all FDA regulations. Production is carefully controlled to ensure all volatile ingredients are fully evaporated during the manufacturing process using machines designed specifically for Truetape. The tapes also contain biocides to control odours and bacteria while installed. Genuine Super Tape from TrueTape will have the Super Tape name printed on the inside of the roll.
