The language of the minions is fairly basic, they speak in a strange jabber. However, most of the viewers can understand some of their words. Minions use a bit of Spanish, English, French, Greek, Korean, Japanese, and even Filipino! Producer John Cohen explained, "A lot of times it sounds like it’s gibberish, a lot of times you hear a little bit of French. You hear all kinds of languages being incorporated into the way they speak.
