The largest red square is 158 miles by 158 miles. Solar panels - TopicsExpress

The largest red square is 158 miles by 158 miles. Solar panels covering an area this size would be sufficient to supply power to the entire planet. Read that again. We wouldnt have to put all the panels in one place, an equivalent area spread out all over the world would allow us to stop using fossil fuels an nuclear power altogether. But alas, the oil companies do not own the sun so they are not interested in promoting is technology - quite the opposite, they are interested in defeating progress. dailykos/story/2014/06/25/1309388/-Solar-Panel-Acreage-Needed-to-Power-the-Entire-Planet-158-mi-x-158-mi?detail=email
