The last Blue Bomber rant for this year, unless they do something intelligent or extremely stupid, chances are the latter. The good news The season is over and we cant lose another game this year. The bad news We missed the playoffs again. Six of eight teams make it but we dont like those odds. The good news We won the first pick in the draft The bad news We suck, last place again The good news Nobody got in trouble for being too rowdy at the games this year The bad news How could they, there was nothing to cheer about The good news Traffic problems after the games were resolved The bad news Resolved because people were leaving by the third quarter and only a handful stayed until the end. The good news We didnt have to play in freezing cold temps.temps The bad news The last time we played a meaningful game was in September. The good news The Red Blacks join the league The bad news We are now part of the west. The good news We have new stadium The bad news We cant fill it, even in the first year. The good news Muamba won three team awards and is amazing The bad news He hasnt signed and may look even better in red black uniform. So now.... We raised the ticket prices for next year. Logic is less people went so we need more money from them. Now the issue is even less people will go! With less people attending, concession sales will drop, so I guess prices for that will go up. Bombers might charge extra for popcorm because it now serves a dual purpose. Eaten in the first half, then the bags get used to cover the fans faces in the second half. (Only bombers approved bags can be worn) Rumour has it that there is coin mechanisms being put into the washrooms so that you only use the washrooms when you really really have to go. Make sure you buy the approved bomber toilet paper, which will be sold to you prior to entering the washrooms. We still do not have a quarterback. But the deeper issue is we dont know our basic math skills. We need ten yards to get a first down. If we make 3 on the first play, we pass for 5 on the second play. 3 plus 5 equals 8. Then we punt. Next set of downs, first play, qb gets sacked for 6 yard loss. Second play we throw for 9 yards. -6 plus 9 equals 3. Then we punt. And so on and so on...... I love the Bombers but they are a joke. In a league where there is only 8 teams, we have not won in decades. My son is graduating from college and has never seen them win. Again, basic math, we should win one in every eight years on average, eight teams in the league. We must be a leap year team, cause we havent won in almost six leap years. And now we add another team to the league. We have a great defensive coach, but trouble is he is our head coach and apparently he cant multi task. Remove him from head coach and make him the defensive guru he is. If you fire him, well your gonna pay for two more years (not like that hasnt been done time after time). Its time for professionals to take over the Bombers. True North, save our once proud franchise. And one last note, We can sell the jumbo tron, replace it with small TVs. There arent a lot of highlights to see anyways. Then the Bombers can rent Bombers approved Zoomies, just like watching movies with 3d glasses.
