Satellite imagery is showing a nice dry patch moving in over Guam this morning. Expect a couple peeks of blue sky and some sun, but one last line of showers is expected to push through the Marianas around midday. After that, drier weather returns. Yesterday we received 4.71 of rain at the airport which blew away the previous record for that date of 1.95 in 1965. The wettest January since the late 1940s was in 1976 with 18.09. At the end of the 29th, this Januarys rainfall is at 15.35. Weve had around 1.5 so far today. This last line of showers will put us in contention for the wettest January. Of the past 4 days, the maximum temperature has been only 84F. On the 27th, we only reached up to 79F. Today we expect a high temperature of 86F. This will likely occur this afternoon once the last batch of showers move out of the area.
