The last few clips of the Afognak book trailer were inspired by this section of the book! It let the larger prey get within inches of it before attacking. It leaped from the floor in terrifying speed, catching her prey off guard. It tore at the other creature’s neck, tearing a meaty chunk of flesh. Warmth filled its mouth as the other creature screamed in pain. Before it could take another bite, the prey whirled around and smashed something into its head. Its sight disappeared, and it lost all its energy and collapsed onto the floor. Then it felt pain as the other creature pounced on it, hitting it repeatedly with a hard object. The other creature was too strong to fight off, so it just tore at it with its teeth, tearing away several sections of the creature’s flesh. Finally, it could no longer defend itself.
