ok people so just wanted to point something ive known for a while: who likes fish n chips? who likes vinegar and salt on their fish and chips or just maybe likes salt in their food which is most likely containing an acid, well maybe you should check the salts ingredients i checked waitrose (bridport) today and only 2 brands did not contain sodium ferrocyanide, one was not salt as we know it (sodium chloride) instead was a mix of potasium chloride and sodium chloride with the former being the dominant at 66% min, the other costing 5£ ish for a small box which was pure sea flake. firstly when u have to measure the toxicity ratings daily measure in ugs and not mg 0.025mg is 250ugs not 0.025mg if actually know your metrics, then it is not non toxic, infact its quite toxic. so 250ug x 60 for the average woman would equate to 1.5mg per day or the equivalent of one grain of the salt roughly (have not weighed this) and thats without an acid capable of displacing the cyanide: a few acids capable would be : acetic acid 3-5% (aka vinegar) citric acid (lemon juice) malic acid (vitamin c) and just about any other hydrogen donor. to distill some of the science for you any acid mixed with this already toxic salt would create a VERY toxic gas and salt. the way i see it u shouldnt be consuming this. My science could be wrong but even so use your own maths skills to see if ur average consumption of salt exceeds that which is safe considering that some of the cheapers salts seemed from the label to consist primarily of this toxic salt. Another example of the chemical industry flogging off waste as food. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sodium_ferrocyanide enjoy ur chips people!
