The latest update for Turning Bear Mason. Thanking Jesus for a successful weekend and continue much prayer for continued healing. Monday 9/1/14 A good day for TurningBear overall. Chest x -ray is significantly better and blood work is stable. We tried to keep him comfortable with pain medications today for his consistent abdominal pain but it did appear to be less than the past two days. He was connecting with me well this morning with his eyes and responses but the afternoon not as much. He was able to get into the chair position twice and did fantastic both time... all great for strengthening him. I think he is some frustrated he cannot communicate verbally but I continue to reassure him of his great progress and temporary of the tracheotomy being in/needed and connected to respirator. He coughs hard and consistently to bring up his secretions. Tonight his lungs sound the clearest they have ever sounded. The RN let me listen with his stethoscope and I hadnt heard for a few weeks.. there was MUCH improvement. Thank You Lord. I know he enjoyed having visitors today! Thanks Steven and Amelia and Michael! To God be the Glory Great things He is doing in healing this pneumonia and strengthening him!
