The lengths to which FB goes to in order to inject inertia into - TopicsExpress

The lengths to which FB goes to in order to inject inertia into our efforts and apply dampeners on our posts is mind boggling. Common sense tells us that the more a post is share and liked, the more it should build up the volume of popular support needed to make it go viral. So, for example, logic would say that the post I made yesterday and which I could not help but notice had been shared more than 680 times and liked 460 times over night, should have had enough wide spread affirmation to break through to the next level of FBs inertia machine. Logic says the progression should be exponential but of course it has stopped accumulating evidence of its exposure in a manner that is not unlike a car hitting a brick wall at high speed. The other thing I find odd about this whole thing is that in my estimation this particular post was not in any way a stand out from anything else I post. While none of my efforts are motivated by any intent to accumulate approval or kudos and are indeed only a part of the collective effort we all make, it seems very odd that this one post managed suddenly, though only momentarily, to overcome the handicappers weight bags to break out from the generous levels of approval my other posts typically generate. All of this makes me wonder just how politically and financially motivated the FB algorithms are. My guess is that they are entirely driven by such concerns.
