The less importance you place on aesthetics and physicalities the less important they become. I know this after having spent 4 years of my life relying on the way that I look for certain things. You lose sense of self. When you make this realization it is so much easier to see what is actually beautiful, and not just what is pleasing to our eyeballs :D real beauty will last forever, physical beauty will not.
