The list is old. Its much worse now Obama has even out-bushed Bush - who woulda thought it possible?! What if anything has he done positive? 1. Hes imprisoned more whistle-blowers. 2. Hes fast tracked more free trade agreements which will outsource more jobs AS IF he had instituted some significant jobs program so the job loss wouldnt be noticed, 3. Hes subsidized new nuclear power plants after Fukushima, and 4. Hes dropped plans to tighten Bush-era ozone standards AS IF we werent facing some pretty obvious examples of climate change. 5. The (un)constitutional lawyer has even claimed the right to assassinate American citizens if suspected of terrorism without benefit of a trial, and we dont know what standard of evidence will make that suspicion sufficient to justify summary execution. 6. Any Republican who was a devotee of GWs torture policy ought to be a happy man because the Bomber has even got his own torture prisons in Afghanistan and Somalia; 7. Heck Obama has decided Americans can be tortured, too - have Obama supporters paid any attention to the Bradley Mannings story? 8. He upped the amount of GWs proposed bailout by $13 billion to add insult to the injury, and then didnt fight to eliminate the tax cuts for corporations and the super-wealthy. 9. Obama has praised clean coal. 10. He expanded the wars even further into: Pakistan, Afghanistan, Yemen, and Libya. 11. Expanded covert wars by deploying Special Forces to 120 countries. 12. He continued Bush tax breaks for the rich. 13. Higher number and rate of deportations. 14. Killed the Public Option behind closed doors. Health Care giveaway to Insurance companies. 15. Advocated for cuts to Social Security and Medicare where GWB failed. 16. Descimated many regulatory agencys like te EPA and the new Consumers Credit Protection Agency. 17. Failed to appoint Elizibeth Warren to the new Consumer Credit Protection Agency in a recess appontment and many other appointments that Congressional Republicans opposed. 18. He conspired in the coverup of the BP Gulf Oil Spill. 19. He approved the use of Corexit to hide the volume of the Oil whch is a highly toxic chemical agent. 20. Hes opened the door for privatizing Americas National Parks for business exploitation of natural resources. 21. He has failed to make one sugnificant effort to resolve the mortgage crisis or hold criminals in Banking accountable. 22. He has failed or neglected to do anything to resolve the historicaly high rate of unemployment/under employment. Check back later. This list will be updated periodically as it is a living document.
