The long ride to DOOM . . 125 years of Progressive ideas from both parties has left the nation without a real industrial base. We are not longer using our abundant natural resources to provide materials to the value added factories of the 40s - 70s . . all the middle class skilled labor jobs were forced to Asia by harsh oppressive laws, rule and regulations. The Government has closed down most of the Federal lands to resource harvesting - the forest department is now making mining in their area impossible . . no oil development on Ocean floors, no fracking on any government lands . . now they are closing down by force of laws, rules and regulations the entire coal industry. If one looks at the long term effect of these acts to go GREEN they will find that a very large percentage of electricity for business and homes comes from coal - then natural gas. If the current rules are put in place we will see electric rates NECESSARILY SKYROCKET . . [quote Obama] People on the coasts could see their utility bills double or triple over the next 3 to 5 years. It will also force more factories offshore. Energy and Technology married with harvesting our natural resources while reversing regulations and rules could create a second great American Industrial boom and millions of middle class jobs.
