The longer I walk with Jesus, the more I see my desperate need for His grace. As I was reading Jeremiah 29 today, one of the things that stood out to me was that neither the exiled Israelites nor the Israelites that stayed in Jerusalem were obedient and continued to follow God, yet He was gracious to those who had been in exile, promising that He had plans to prosper them and make them succeed. Those who stayed in Jerusalem ended up being cursed because they listened to people telling them lies in the name of the Lord. Its a good reminder to make sure you test what youre being taught. Thats why its key to read the Bible for yourself, because way too many allow others to study the Word of God for them, and may be hearing things that arent true, but dont know it. Besides that, the Bible is Gods love letter to us, and we should read it as such. Over and over again, you read about God being frustrated with His people, yet He loves them, and its the same with us, Im sure we frustrate Him, yet He continually loves and pursues us. I know me, and the person I am deep down inside, and that reminds me that I need His unconditional love and grace each and every day! Have a great Saturday!
