The mans on a roll! The carp catching traveller håkan olsen sends us another report from gothenbergs club water Holma Damm, as he explores more venues around southern sweden. Holma damm is an extreme weedy little pond with an average high stock of carp, (for Sweden). Its a little bit forgotten by the anglers nowadays and most of the fishing being short stalking sessions. This time i was to stay longer and so my tactics was more bottom fishing with boilies. In this case the sbm test bait mp-1 was my first choice. Baiting up small margin spots and some holes in the weed around the edge. The first night was really good with 5 bites, after that the bites came pretty regularly by baiting little and often. The weed did make it a little difficult at times and the number of landed carp was a bit of a nightmare. But in the end i had many good looking carp. With the top 3 weighing in at 10,94kg 11,38kg and 11,56kg so i was more than happy! Mp-1 pops on choddys was fishing good but all of the better fish came to mp1 barrels tipped with a pink fake corn with a bag of sbm bag mix dipped in SL just nicked on the hook. Well...
