The mission was from day 1 back in 2009 when we started Apparition with my good friend Gareth Davies to put events on in this area to give local DJs exposure and show how talented they are to the seaside. We had numerous clubs to put these nights on (Pier, Amishi, Sub, Matrix, Silk etc) and the numbers we gathered were truly amazing. Since the recession things involving clubbing have deteriorated massively, there is no such thing as a nightclub in Cleethorpes anymore and its so hard for promoters and young clubbers try absorb that feeling locally. 2014 has been a year where I have woken up and realized whats going on around us. This courtyard party has unbelievable potential to be something great. The response is some what the same kind and feeling of what we was pulling 3 years ago. It is a massive gamble dont get me wrong and I want to let people know this, as sometimes things can go tits up BUT as long as we co operate, no fighting or being stupid, RESPECTING the residents around the area, the bar staff, the management, the doormen and just having a good old courtyard vibe, then this SHOULD be a success to continue in the future, this way I feel we can bring clubbing back to a high level standard again slowly, step by step! The 30+ nightgoers have took it by storm and shown us young ones how its done with the event Better Days at the Beachcomber. Selling the place out in days. I really hope things go right on the day, it has all the right ingredients to. I will work my ass off for this thats a promise and I hope those that get the wristbands join me in being very cider drunk on the day but also very respectable about everything around it!!
