The more that I study Christian apologetics and literature, the more I grow to appreciate the different views within Christianity: Catholicism, Anglican, Protestantism, Greek Orthodox, Episcopalian and etc. I think the diversity is a wonderful thing, and I am glad to be a part of “Mere Christianity.” For myself personally, I am most interested in The Celtic Christian Church when Christiantiy began to spread in the British Isles. The pagan culture of the Celtics certainly had an influence on the way they perceived Christianity: a great reverence for Nature, the mystery of the sacrament, the ritualism, symbols that are left behind in the artwork of the churches and monasteries, the poetry and literature, and the spiritual longing for Christ that was behind the stories that they told and in their belief in the Otherworld.
