The most unusual thing just happened. As I was talking to the doctor, Dr Knuteson, here at Wayne Memorial, who is taking care of Mom, he was talking about changes in health care here in the last years. He came to this hospital 32 years ago as as 31 years old new doctor. Some how in the conversation I mentioned having Amanda Baines Montepeque here 31 years ago this week and the complications I had. He asked if my doctor was Dr. Campbell then and if there was a code blue called, and then told me he was one of the doctors that responded that night. He said he would never forget it! He shared in unbelievable detail the events in the delivery room that night! He was so moved, he even came and gave me a hug after he told me all about what happened! Wow! That was very special, especially with this being Amandas birthday week!
