The mouth speaks out of the abundance of the heart, says the Scripture. On April 14, 2012, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari (Rtd.) made this public statement: God willing, by 2015, something will happen. They either conduct a free and fair election or they go a very disgraceful way. If what happened in 2011 should again happen in 2015, by the grace of God, the dog and the baboon would be soaked in blood. Nigerians need to critically examine this statement as a national imperative. My reading is that Buhari has already made up his mind that he would not accept defeat under any circumstance in the 2015 Presidential Election. Where does this leave the rest of us in the political equation? Is Buharis political ambition worth the blood of any Nigerian? Nigerians, make una shine una eyes dem well well oh!
