The mythic El Jalapeño burrito, originating from the temperate forest-lined coast of Oregon, weighs approximately 3 pounds 4 ounces. The contents of the burrito included steak, cheese, guacamole, and French fries with grilled onions and bell peppers. Legend has it that there is so much steak in the burrito that they have to use 2 mega-tortillas (4 normal tortillas) just to wrap it from end to end. Pictures of the legend have surfaced on the Internet with claims that some have found this behemoth of a burrito, receiving much criticism on the validity of the photos. Could this Mexican-style magnificence truly exist? No one really knows. Locals around the area claim that it once did, asserting that it was made by El Jalapeños family restaurant south of Bandon. When we sent our film crew to investigate, all they was an abandoned building with a sign on the front saying El Japs. Could this have been the heart of the rumors? Research on the site shows it was condemned for not keeping up to code. We asked passers-by about the place. Testimonies indicate that the family that ran the place years ago got deported. Could this be the birthing place of the greatness that once reigned supreme? Is this really the remains of what once was and is no more? Or does the burrito live on? We may never know.
