The new Lotto ads that target the poorly educated are deliberately designed to take advantage of their lack of sophistication or understanding of how things really work and are reprehensible in the extreme. The ad agency that came up with this concept has skirted the lines that border decency, honesty and outright lies and should be censured for it. There should be a bold disclaimer on every Lotto ad in print and announced after the reading of every ad on the radio of how lotteries really work and what your chances really are. The lack of any real advertising council to oversee what passes for advertising in this country is again exposed. The NLCB ought to be ashamed.
