The next Light into Motion event will be at Outpost 186 in Inman Square on Oct. 25 8 PM. I invite you to dance at either this event or the following event on Nov 8 or or both of these events. The Oct 25 lineup so far is Doctor T - video and movement Tim Mungenast --- guitar and electronics Eric Dahlman -- trumpet and voice Karen Klein -- poetry and movement Glynis Lomon -- Movement, Voice, Aquasonic Other dancers tba. Light into Motion is a series of performances that combine improvised video, music, dance and sometimes poetry in an intimate space. These events have been outstanding -- with multiple forms of improv interacting in the intimate, funky space of Outpost 186. I want to emphasize that Im interested in working with dancers who have improvised in different styles and have different levels of proficiency. In plain terms, if youve done any amount of dance improvisation ( Dance Friday, dance freedom, contact improv, John Greens class, etc.) and think you are good enough to dance at one of these events you are. Even if you dont think youre good enough, you most likely are anyway! The suggested donation for audience members is $10, which is waived if you dance with us. Outpost 186 is at 186 1/2 Hampshire Street 1 /12 blocks east of Inman Square. There is permit parking on Amory Street just west of the venue -- the odds against getting a ticket are about 200 to 1.
