The noise was really getting to me today so I decided to record 30 seconds of what I listen to around the clock. This week they got a special loud variance noise permit to allow this. Now you can hear why I want to move! Kakaako is not the place to move to. Take my word for it - unless you are hard of hearing and then it is ok. This is the noise that is going to go on for the next 12 years in a 4 block area with the proposed building of 20 more condos. Ala Moana Mall originally told the neighbors they would be done with construction by the end of 2015. Now with the condos they added on they informed us last week it is going to be 2017. The rest of the condos from Piikoi to Ward are scheduled to be done in 2023. And then there is the light rail noise of construction and the rail itself which will run only 2 blocks from here. #1350alamoana #noise #luxeryliving #Honolulu #kakaako
