The official word is out... Training will soon commence! Mark your calendar for January 31st to attend the first HCUA training session for the upcoming 2015 season with six sessions to follow. Training will go from 9 AM until 11 AM; but it strongly suggested that you arrive early (at least by 8:45 AM) in order to sign in and get a good seat. Something tells me the room is going to fill up rather quickly. Be sure to bring along a notebook/notepad and a pen or pencil. You can even bring crayons if you are comfortable with those. :) On a series note there will be a lot of information that will be delivered the first day with much more to follow. Possible more info also via this page. Stay tuned. In the meantime, please note two very important items of interest: 1. If you cannot make it to training you MUST notify the secretary Mr. Don Myers either via an email, a text message, or just pick up the phone and call him. 2. After Saturday, February 7th (second session) NO further applications to join H.C.U.A. will be accepted for the 2015 season. If you or anyone over the age of 18 is interested in becoming a certified umpire to officiate games in and around Harford County, January 31st is the time to do it. H.C.U.A. also encourages folks under 18 who aspire to work in a rec council who want the proper training to come on out. There is no charge for the training other than your time and dedication. The Board of Directors is very excited about the upcoming season and looks forward to seeing you on the 31st!!
