The only ist I am is a scientist. I dont associate with movements. Im not an ism. I think for myself. When someone attaches you to a philosophy or a movement, then they assign all the baggage of that philosophy to you, so when you want to have a conversation, they assume they already know everything important there is to know about you because of that association. And that isnt the way to have a conversation. Sorry, its not. Id rather we explore each others ideas in real time, rather than assign a label and then assert you know whats going to happen in advance. - Neil deGrasse Tyson
