The other day I was listening to satellite radio channel (the 90s on 9) and Boombastic by Shaggy started playing. The first time Bruce and I heard that song he said, Did you know Shaggy was a Marine? He saw three days of combat in Desert Storm. While I never doubted Bruces knowledge of celebrity Marines I did question the possibility that Shaggy saw three days of combat. Bruce would repeat this valuable bit of trivia every time the song was on the radio and I told him he doesnt need to bring it up every time Shaggy is on the radio. OOPS. I gave Bruce a green light for his peculiar sense of humor. From that point on, every time we heard a song by Shaggy, the DJ mentioned Shaggy, or someone was humming a tune that remotely sounded like Shaggy Bruce would look at me and say, Did you know Shaggy was a Marine? He saw three days of combat in Desert Storm. Since we were in rural NH that stupid boombastic song was on the radio every 30 or 40 seconds. After the 100th time, Bruce would just say, Shaggy was a Marine and dissolve into giggles. After the 1000th time he would just look at me and we would both start to laugh.
