The past week has brought so many memories, laughter and of course tears that have to happen in order to heal. Larry and I both are working so much that when we finally wind down we seem to think more deeply about our life since our loss and how different it is. We truly miss taking care of Robbie and of course would have done it forever if need be but that was not Gods plan and he knows best. Larry said as he was driving home from work one night last week, his every thought was of Robbie as this happens a lot for us both. He thought about their great times hunting together and how excited Robbie would get when fall hit and the smell of leaves brought the love of the woods to mind. He loved that time of year and if he was not hunting he was watching it on tv with his dad. I,of course would scurry to my bedroom for some more normal ladylike shows haha. Larry said as he thought about some of the wonderful times he had with Robbie and how his heart just hurts without him he was at our driveway. He grabbed his phone and got out of Robbies truck. As he walked toward the house to the door, his phone with no rhyme or reason started playing lean on me. Larry said tears were already steaming down his face but when that happened he knew it was Robbie telling him I am here dad, I can hear you and I know you are hurting but just lean on me. He said he as in shock at how this song that is not even on Robbies playlist or in Robbies itunes library could start playing so it had to be him and God. He turned around and took a seat on our patio table outside, looks toward the stars and sky and just wailed out his Robbies name. He let him know he got his sign as he cried with joy to know this was the only explanation for this dong to play. As bad as my heart hurts and aches, my heart breaks even more to see Larry missing his son, his buddy, his best friend and his lil poot. They had a one of a kind relationship. They did everything together when Larry was it working and able. Even if he could not hunt or golf with Robbie, you better bet he would call his daddy and tell him how it as going. They were frick and frack (my nickname for them) because they loved to dress alike lol. I hope if you still have you fathers out there take time with your sons and appreciate every minute you can with them. Larry taught Robbie a lot but Robbie taught us all so much more. God bless you all and prayers to all those sick and fighting. My deepest condolences to our friends Chris and Susan Miller in the loss of their sweet father/ husband who passed lady week. Robbie met Jesse at UVA on one if his many visits in 2012. Jesse too was fighting leukemia and had a stem cell transplant. He was a fighter with the most positive attitude and faith in God. He will be missed greatly by his dear family and friends including us. youtu.be/yCSMCgqlc-0
