The perils of middle class Ive decided to take away my childrens technology, IPhone, computer, etc. I was reminded that this generation does not have the same internal drive because they get everything they want. I cant blame their lack of motivation ALL on them. We enjoy giving them things. We just forget our children do not have the same background we do to understand what sacrifice means. They can earn privileges to use their stuff in increments. Today they got dropped off at school with no phones. Ohhhh the long faces. Imagine not having a phone at school. Oh how did we survive. I know I will not be popular with them for awhile, but Im prepared to take the hit if it means they develop character.
