The planned “Rotary Makro Cool Season” Golf and Fun Festival set to take place on 26 and 27 July 2013 has been postponed for practical reasons at the request of title sponsor, Makro in Port Elizabeth. “Makro management have assured us of their full commitment to this Rotary fundraiser and the St Francis community,” said Lyn Aitken, chairman of the Rotary Satellite Club St Francis. “A new date will be made known as soon as possible and both participating golf courses, the St Francis Bay Golf Club and the St Francis Links, have indicated that they are looking forward to hosting the event on our behalf. The Rotary Mad Hatter’s Tea Party for ladies will still go ahead as planned on 26 July.” This event which is which is set to take place at the Links from 1.00 p.m. will offer a full afternoon’s fun and Fashion Show for R150 per person. Stiff competition is expected for the best table decorated to the Alice in Wonderland theme with great prizes to be won. Booking is essential as seating is limited.
