The point of a job is not to earn money, it is to contribute positively to fellow citizens by providing a service. In return for that service you are to be granted everything you need to live life comfortably, food, water, shelter and simple luxuries. In a capitalist system, money/currency is the means by which you access your reward for the services you provide on a daily basis.
