The polls have closed and counting is under way in the referendum to decide whether Scotland should stay as part of the U.K or become an independent country. The final national result is in an Scotland will remain part of the United Kingdom. Scots turned out in large droves with 97% of the electorate registered. Grenadians are to vote in a referendum next year to make changes to the constitution. Sandra Ferguson is a member of the constitution advisory committee. Speaking to G.B.N in her personal capacity she pointed to what she sees as the impact the Scotland result could have on Grenada’s process. Ferguson says it is key that citizens become keenly involved.
