The power of the Blood - Ex 12:13 And the blood shall be to you for a token upon the houses where ye are: and when I see the blood, I will pass over you, and the plague shall not be upon you to destroy you, when I smite the land of Egypt. In Ex 11:4-5, Moses told all and sundry of the last plague God was going to unleash on Egypt. The instruction was very specific for vs 5 says, And all the firstborn IN the land of Egypt shall die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh that sitteth upon his throne, even unto the firstborn of the maidservant that is behind the mill; and all the firstborn of beasts. Hope you understand that Goshen where the Israelites resided was in Egypt. The Israelites were also the maidservants of the Egyptians hence you can see that there was a huge possibility of an Israelite firstborn getting killed. Of a truth, the angel of death was not given a register containing the firstborn of the children of Israel. He didnt know who was pharaohs son or Moses son. The only criteria for exemption was the Blood. If Moses son had left the covering of the Blood, he would have been killed instantly. If the firstborn of pharaoh had also sneaked behind the cover of the Blood, he would have been spared. That particular blood protected them for one day but there is a more potent Blood that flowed from the cross of Calvary. It is not a one time use. It is more valuable than any currency for it purchased what no currency could buy. It not only protects, but it delivers, saves and purifies.
