The purpose of the Rural Aid and Homeless Outreach is to locate and assist families and individuals living in poverty within the Ozarks of Missouri and nearby states. Started by the Evangelical Anglican Church, and joined by partners in ministry, we are focused on helping families that live dangerously close to homelessness, and who are most likely also suffering from food scarcity and inadequate job opportunities. In Missouri, 30% of its population lives in rural areas and traditionally only 5% of the total funding for homeless makes it to rural areas. We want to help make up this huge deficit by providing meals, clothing, counseling (both Spiritual and Substance Abuse), eventually temporary housing and other resources to this under served population. As the New Year begins, we hope to finalize our first training programs where truck driving school and receptionist from home training will give these families a live-able income and stop the cycle of poverty in that family. As we have previously stated, our goal is to teach people to fish as opposed to just feeding them. Giving these folks a hand up instead of a hand out will also raise their self esteem and personal dignity. Want to join in helping to feed, clothe, train and shelter the needy? We need partners in our ongoing effort. Even a $5 gift goes a long way, Simply cant afford to give right now? Please share this post to spread the word. Giving is as easy as clicking on the link then pressing the give button. Let your heart do the rest. https://fundrazr/campaigns/1Zkxc
