The rank classism of current immigration policies is obvious. IF you have the money to purchase air flights and passports you get some semblance of decent treatment. So people who come here on planes and seek asylum are allowed to stay and have their claims tested. People who come on boats are put in concentration camps in other countries, in appalling circumstances (including children) for years - at Australias enormous expense. This is in violation of our international treaty obligations, and is now corrupting the legal systems of those other countries.
