The reason why I am prond of being a Hongkonger is that we are given the right to learn, to speak and to do thanks to the former british colonisation. Nevertheless, Hong Kong has to become a part of China entirely again in 50 years after the return to China of 1997. All of us can feel that China is infiltrating into our tereitory gradually, like the national education. We all knew that there would be a day for us to take action against the unfairness and our unwillingness. Hongkongers finally took the action in a peaceful way but we are suppressed by the government by calling us “mob” and throwing tear gas without a reasonable reason. This battle is definitely a difficult one as our real opponent is China which is a totalitarian country and has a lot of experience of suppressing her citizens like Tianamen Squares students, Lau XiaoBao... As long as we dare accpet this challenge, it has already been one of the most significant milestones in Hong Kong democratic process history. No one knows what is going to happen but we will not regret. At leaset, we know what is happening in our society now. Now, being in foreign country, I am not able to join the protest in Hong Kong, I wish all the Hong Kong people can keep fighting. I really appreciate and am prond of what all of you have done. Keep fighting!
