The redheads are fed. Sausage gravy and biscuits and blackberry syrup on the side. Easy made: 1 to 1 1/2 cup fresh blackberries, 1 Tablespoon water, 1 cup sugar, 1/4 tsp lemon juice. Bring water sugar and blackberries to boil until sugar liquefies, about one minute. As blackberries soften mash with fork. Remove from heat and stir in lemon juice. Serve hot or cold. Really good over vanilla ice cream. Makes about 1 pint.
