The resent demonstration of the youth of the governing National - TopicsExpress

The resent demonstration of the youth of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) over the appointment of Ministers and M/M/DCE by His Excellency Prez Mahama is on the ascendency and very disheartening. Destroying of party offices, billboards and other state properties has become the other of the day by these youths. The recent and most pathetic one was yesterday, 26th July, 2013 at Salaga, the capital of the East Gonja District when Irate supporters of the governing National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Salaga District went on the rampage and torched the party’s office and President John Mahama’s lingering 2012 campaign billboards. The violence was to express their displeasure over the president’s nomination of Muhammed Aminu Uthman as Chief Executive for the District. For me, this is vary sad and regrettable if that is the only way we can say thank you to the beloved son of GONJALAND after God has blessed GONJALAND with this gentleman. I would be far from right if I am taking away the constitutional right from my people to cause demonstration, but is that the ultimate way of expressing one’s sentiment? Can’t we control our sentiment? In fact, if this is the pace or example GONJALAND is to set, it is disastrous and suicidal and GONJALAND is not noted for that.
