The results of last months primary have been well absorbed and most have moved on. Yes, Janet Baressi wont be on the ballot in November and the Democratic nominee for Superintendent of Public Instruction will be decided in the August runoff election. A significant revelation from the primary, though, was the voter turnout (or lack thereof) in the Democratic primary. The Democratic turnout in Tulsa county was 14.6% and Oklahoma county wasnt much better. Most disturbing is there were three precincts in Tulsa county with LESS THAN THREE PERCENT Democratic turnout! We complied a list of the 262 precincts in Tulsa county with the turnout data and percentages for each. Weve made it available for those who are daring enough to see if their precinct is one of the notorious three. To find out the turnout in your precinct, click this link to our website. If you dont remember your precinct number, go to this link at the Oklahoma State Election Board and follow the steps. It doesnt have to be this way in the future. We can make a difference right in our neighborhoods. To start, may we send you a list of the Democrats in your neighborhood or precinct? Were ready . . .are you?
