Oh boy, this may get me in some trouble, but just hear me out on this often overlooked double standard about DOMESTIC ABUSE. Here is my comment after watching the Ray Rice and Janay Rice video (how can we have avoided seeing it repeatedly by now). Why isnt ANYBODY disturbed by Janays purposeful and deliberate physical attacks to Ray as shown TWICE in the video.. If you dont remember, its probably because everybody thinks its okay for a woman to punch, attack, slap a man... and never any consequences will come of it. Watch the tape once more. Before they even enter the elevator, you see her stop in the street turn and attack Ray, hitting him right in the face with her hand. Then again, she comes after Ray and attacks him as soon as they enter the elevator hitting him again. Ray appears to have had enough and hits back (self defense overkill?) knocking her off balance. Its her head that strikes the metal handrail in the elevator that actually knocks her unconscious, not his hand. Bad for Ray, no doubt, and an ugly incident all the way around, but what a shame nobody is even talking about Janays abusive physical attacks on her husband...
